I am sure this has been covered in here somewhere, but I am having a hard time finding it. We are in the process of installing a sbc into the astre and are going to be using the stock saginaw 4 speed. Looks like i will have to obtain a driveshaft. Question is what do i need to do to the factory crossmember to move the engine back farther or is there a good aftermarket option? Car had a v8 sitting in it when we got it but not correctly home made mounts and they obviously never had it running engine was way to far forward. We have the swap headers and are thinking we will run a front motor plate. Obviously the torque arm won't work but we may just eliminate that as we are going to go with an s10 rear end. Any help with placement on this and crossmember solutions would be great thank you .
