Thermostat housing

Postby SunbirdMan » Mon Jul 03, 2006 11:47 am

I just thought I'd share something I found at www.autopartsgiant.com . I'm going to go out on a limb here and state absolutely that this thermostat housing was only used on V8 hbodies. At least I've never seen it on any other vehicle and I've looked. For those of you looking for a housing with the correct angle for the factory hose and smog bosses, here you go. A V8 hbody reproduction part.

I've spent alot of time at junkyards and have seen alot of chevys but not very many Corvettes at the cheapo yards I go to, so I wouldn't be surprised if Corvettes had this one. But I checked that parts america site and didn't see it. I checked the late 70s Corvettes at www.autopartsgiant.com and they showed different housings. I don't mind being wrong about this so just out of curiosity if anyone can show me a Corvette with this housing I'd gladly say "I stand corrected"
