somebody asked him and he said no. it goes with car. also he wants $ 10,000 cash no trades. if I only had the cash. seems worth it to me anyway. the only thing i didn't care for was he said he swapped parts from another car makes me wonder if the trans was the only thing that was swapped.

Yes That car looks sweet. I was interested in it until i realized I probably shouldn't spend that kind of money on yet another car , especially one i don't have room for!

I hope it goes to an enthusiast :D

10K ? I guess the 28K mile silver 77 I sold a few years ago for $7800 was a steal.

I really didn't think it was that clean if it really has 30K miles. But, I am always questioning low mile cars.

5-Speed Shifter??

Postby res0o7eb » Tue Jul 11, 2006 2:14 am

He said it had an automatic in it originally, but bought another Monza and switched transmissions? What's that all about? I didn't know you could get a T-50 5-speed behind a V-8. What kind of shifter is that? It doesn't look like a factory shifter. Certainly not like my Vega. Maybe they were different in the Monza.

I've heard of guys using the T-50. My DAd told me he talked to some dude that put one behind a big block and it held up until it was powershifted.
'72 Vega with '93 Camaro LT1/M29 T56/12 bolt 3.31. 16" IROCs all around. Sanderson headers into duals with an H-pipe and Flowmasters. It's loud but at least it's faster than your grandma's Buick. pwned.
