Deterrence works-- take it from a guy with 12 years of SAC bomber alert experience. Bush should announce to both Iran and North Korea: "If you want to play in the bigs, fine. STRATCOM will stand up to a 24/7 alert posture, just like SAC had when my Dad was president (we came off alert in '91). Only this time, all our Major Attack Options are directed toward your two countries. If you launch an attack on the US, US forces deployed in the region, Israel, or any other vital US or NATO interest, we will respond with overwhelming nuclear force. We remain prepared to negotiate and reduce this posture when you are willing to renounce nuclear weapons."

I can't believe how #@$@% big that B-1 is!

I've seen inside a B-52, and I once saw the B-1 perform at an airshow, but DAMN she's big... put those side by side and the size is eye-opening.
