Postby vermontspyder » Sat Jul 08, 2006 8:51 pm

I hope i'm not double posting but I just saw a set of Bob's motor mounts on Ebay. I remember the guy from the Caribbean was lookin for a set. Auction # is 260005715704. I haven't had a chance to get used to this site yet so maybe someone could post a link. Been workin way too much.

I've sent you an email, Ty. I'm willing to bid if are sure those are correct. I have sent the seller an email question, hoping to get another pic of the opposite side.

The ad does say 'Monza V8'....I'm hoping the reason they didn't fit is because he was trying to put them on V-6 frame plates. :thumb:

thanks Reid,

let's hope this can finally materialize!

Couldn't reach my buddy on the phone here but he'll be back to us by mail by tomorrow.

request to the other H-body fans: Would you like to leave these for me? Bob's are cheaper ;)

while we're on the subject... anyone remember a couple years back when someone on ebay was selling home fabricated motor mounts that were similar to Bob's, and Bob said he ripped off his design and that they weren't as good as Bob's? Then it turned out the guy was a v8monza ezboard member. and the guy took his mounts off the market. anyone remember who that was?

UPDATE!!!!

Just got a reply from the seller....he was trying to put a V-8 into a Starfire, which he said had an "Oldsmobile" V-6 in it.

Obviously they won't fit his (Buick V-6) frame plates.

Let's hope we get them bought before someone tells him what he needs to make those mounts work. Apparently they are just what Ty needs (if they aren't the inferior mount as SunbirdMan mentions....I don't recall those).

i didn't mean to imply that these were'nt Bob's mounts. I was just trying to recall the incident and was wondering if the guy still hangs out with us. if I recall correctly, the guy stood by his work.

Marco posted a link to www.monzaparts.com They say they are going to be selling non-oem mounts and plates. I emailed them earlier and asked about them. does anyone know who monza parts.com is?

I know. I didn't take it that way....but who knows what these are? they appear to be Bob's.

Talked to my buddy, he'll take a look later today and will check with his brother if we can do the Ebay mounts directly (still no answer from Bob himself, 2nd day, but I'll stop counting this time...)

anyway, my bud's brother orders from ebay.

We'll see that I won't bug u guys in the states if possible... (esp. Reid)

anyway I'll have something by tomorrow about this.

again, would you guys mind leaving these for me?

tnx!
