Garage Items

Postby ColinOpseth » Mon Jun 26, 2006 8:36 pm

Hey guys,
If you add a new business I need to approve the listing. Thus, if your listing does not immediately become visible in the Garage don't worry...I'm on it

Later,
Colin

Alright,
Per fyrftr50's PM I have changed some of the vehicle model line-ups in the database. We now have a complete breakdown of all H-Body models from 71-80.

If there's one that we missed, let me know. As well, you should recheck your Garage and verify that you still have the right car :)

Later,
Colin

Also, I restricted the year ranges from 1971-1980.

Wasn't there also a Skyhawk 'S'? A stripped-down, base model?

Bryan?

Ben is bang-on, a bare-bones Skyhawk was a Skyhawk 'S', and come to think of it, so did the Monza 'S', a hatchback coupe offered in 1975 as a bare-bones 2+2, but also in 1978, using old Vega hatchback bodies with Monza front ends and sold as Monza 'S' hatchback coupes.

Big Monza and Clone website I have, and I forget these cars, D'OH!

Yup, a couple more I forgot.

Vega Spirit of America (not sure what year though), and the Monza in 1976 had the same thing. Also forgot a couple Buick ones too.

Vega - Spirit of America
Monza - Spirit of America
Skyhawk - Free Spirit
Skyhawk - Designer's Accent Edition

I was going to originally suggest to just use the basic 6 H-Body models, but I had that setup with the Registry and I had a lot of requests to post special editions to distinguish one car from the next (ie: showcase what some people had over the base models) so I figure we should keep the same in the garage, hence the reason for so many models. I just wanted to keep the non-H-Body cars out of the garage, because they will find their way in eventually, unless we stick to the restrictions Colin has added.

I think breaking it down by specific H-body models, including the special editions, is a terrific idea (also the idea of excluding non-H-bodies; Bryan's point of diluting this site is well taken).

This will let those rare, lucky owners of Designer's Accent Editions and Stillettos (HA!) stand out from the crowd. It also lets all of us see just how many of each them there are, with a mouse click.

Pretty durn good idea for a guy who lives north of the Lake. :canada:

Did you want to add the Skyhawk and other S models?
'72 Vega with '93 Camaro LT1/M29 T56/12 bolt 3.31. 16" IROCs all around. Sanderson headers into duals with an H-pipe and Flowmasters. It's loud but at least it's faster than your grandma's Buick. pwned.
