Yup, from the factory, only white with red and blue stripes could be ordered. The Mirage was dropped prior to 1978 when other colour combos were to become available.

Didnt the mirage info that we got
from Jack Juratovic indicate that they built a handfull of other colors?

There is of course the Black and gold one that I have personally witnessed.

Had the conversion stickers and it was a factory black one, not a repaint.

It was in the wreckers and I was able to pull the interior away to look for some other colors as original paint...it was black.

also by the trim tag code, which I have somewhere.

I believe I gave Doyle the numbers, and there are pics I took floating around the net.

I found out last night that there was a monza spyder parked in a driveway so I ran out see it.

I just stared at it for like an hour.

It was soo cool!

Then my key even started it up.

Thats when I was like oh yeah this is my car.

I swear I've seen a grey (silver?) Mirage. It was down the street from me when I was growing up. I even went to school (same grade) with the kid whose parents owned it. It did not have the stripes but did have the Mirage decals etc.

One of the proposed colors for the 78 model year was silver with light red/dark red stripes, so anything is possible I suppose. Could be the red stripes were removed -or- never installed. Since the black is known to have existed, surely they were doing test runs of the other colors as well.
