Well I found the info on Ezboard, looks like it survived the attacks...

Brian, I'm surprised that you don't remember this thread, and this is what spurred my site being created, I was heading up the creation of the site, and then Bob was planning on uploading it to HBOA.ORG (A domain HE OWNS) and linking it with V8Monza...

I hope this can close this argument.

You don't need to trademark it, you only need to show that you had it first. Shelley (She_Spyder) is not the rightful owner of it.

Why is it so important to use that name? Bacchus has more claim to it than anyone here and he doesn't want it used. He's been polite about it. So come up with a new name.

Well I had no idea that Brian was claiming to own the name...

Please show some proof here that you own it Brian, and I'll gladly remove any and all traces from that old beta site, and do it with a smile.

I am wondering why you did not raise this concern in the thread I linked to above where you joined in on the conversation about designing the new logos and implementing the new site.

Roger - I had already picked out a new name, and was creating a club with it.. it was all the members of V8Monza that decided to use HBOA... My name was HBCCA (H Body Car Club of the Americas)

Maybe I'm reading something into his posts that isn't there. I recall the last time around, Brian had objected to using the name and logo.

I'm not opposed to using it. I am opposed to people using it without asking.

Brian,

Well I swear I remember one of the original "board members" for the "HBOA" that we tried to start last year saying that we had expressed permission to use the name, likeness, and everything relating to the H-Body Owners Association.

If you are claiming some of the rights to that name, then I will ask you now, if you have any issues with us (the original Board of Directors as voted last year) using the name HBOA for the club.

Sorry for the hassle, communication in writing can sometimes come across the wrong way.
