Hi Guys..
Happy Valentines day.. if that works for you today.. still.. or this might..

The Spyder Emblem kits are ready to go.

$120 inc delivery for H-Body members.. .. securely at http://pwdstore.com/images/EmblemMonzaSpyder.jpg
I'll do the cost adjustment when / if we see it go though.. OR.. via email sales@pwdstore.com

or go on eBay # Item number: 350440032236

Each car kit. for the Spyder.. is like the Monza.. One complete new emblem assembly with housing and speed nuts for the front..
and ONE new insert for the rear.

If you want the inserts only.. they are $100 a pair delivered.

I hope we can move a few sets.. as the cost has been a killer but Im proud of them and in the end .. money... you can't take it with you...

Well let me be the first to put an order out. As we discussed in email, I will take a complete Monza Spyder set and the complete Skyhawk emblem set. Shipped to New York State (not to me directly in Canada). I'll fire off an email and get it going.
Cheers and THANKS !!!!!!

Can anyone provide me with instructions for replacing the insert for the rear emblem? I thought I read something on this in an earlier post, but admittedly, I don't have the patience to re-read through 13 pages of comments, etc. I haven't looked at mine yet, so it could be intuitive, but any assistance you can provide is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Jim.

I changed the insert on my Spyder before and I remember a lot of prying to get the old insert out. Mine isn't really a show piece either though, so I ended up getting a little rough with prying the old one out (maybe minor dents in the housing). It says on their website to use a "non-acidic glue, like a dab of silicon" to install the new insert into the housing.

I'll be buying the new emblems soon, also.

easiest way to get the old emblem out is with a bit of heat ...just enough to soften whatever GM stuck it in there with ! i have taken a couple out that way with little or no damage to them !

As a matter of record.. what we used to stick the new insert into the new housings on the Spyder emblems is a very strong.. very thin.. double sided tape... I thought about using silicone or a glue but did not want to risk long term the acid effect if it bleached though. .. The New Spyder emblem is a precise very tight fit into the new housings regardless.

... Hey.. while I'm here and as seeing this job is pretty much done.. thanks for waiting around.. thank you to Brian for in the end the exact perfect sample..
If it had not of been for Ausmonza (Steve) . it would not have come to light either.. It's NOT a project I can afford to do again for anybody & may be many years before it can break even.... but the end results.. of the Skyhawk & Monza inserts... .. the housing production.... and most of all the hardest non metal emblem we've had to perfect.. the Spyder.. in such short production #'s ... the end result is a show piece pride boost if you know what I mean. If called for .. the sets may also end up on the GM Restoration Parts national display circuit, exampling the diversity of Licensee production.. for parts outside of Firebird, Camaro & Corvette etc.. If it does.. and you see it.. you'll remember where it all started.....Here on your forum.

.. and thanks to those on ebay.. the feedback comments significant in that they come from a small appreciative bunch of people that are proud of what they have .. something different.

Ebay comments.. probably from members..

...this is my favorite purchase yet thank you great product great seller GREAT!!!!!

....Remarkable quality. Highly recommended for any Chevy Monza enthusiast

Fantastic!! Thanks!!

Dave,
If I order the Spyder emblems, could you throw in some of that tape or stick it on the rear emlem like you do the front but leave the backing on the tape? For an additional fee? I don't want to buy a whole roll of tape for one emblem. Thanks.
