What years did you work at GM? Just wondering how long that practice has been going on.

I started in 1980. Still serving time.
The rider system is still being used, although it always changes a bit from one model to the next. The only time the rider goes in the trash is when the vehicle is mostly complete. It just gets harder to stash it in a finished car.

Stage thats wild!

A feast for the eye's for sure.

So I can say I've finally seen a St. There's buildsheet...

Lance, nice try but your sheet is from a 1978 Lordstown built model. Those are the buildsheet common cars.

The Canadian built cars have been the big mystery.

I wonder if the sheet claimed to be found in the '75 was from a Southgate car. That would be interesting to see....have a scan?

Found 2 build sheets in my skyhawk, one taped to the inside of the drivers door and the other under the carpet on the back floor. Along with some windshield molding clips, a large fastener, assorted screws, a small rod and another rod that looks like a four inch nail with a double head, a piece of cardboard that is the shape of a sunvisor and one of those cone cups, LOL

Where is the plant code located on the build sheet? I have a "2" in the 7 vin location, does that make it a St Therese build sheet?

Old thread, but as an Update my 77 Astre Formula had 3, 2 for the correct car 1 for a different car. The correct ones were on top of the gas tank, und above the headliner, the incorrect one was behind the Passenger seat plastic back panel, but who knows if the seats are original to the car, they are the correct color and type though.
