Proposal for AusRs

Postby monzaman69 » Wed Jul 12, 2006 4:02 pm

If you would like, we could work together to set up a sales by paypal/credit card site for your repro parts...

I'd bet Colin could just as easily set up the same sorta thing right here on this site, so don't be afraid to ask him also...

My hosting plan comes with a storefront, and Colin does this for a living, so either way you can't lose :)

Just in my opinion, you should get the ball rolling on a website for these parts, even if it's just a "Coming Soon" thing.

http://www.usgmserviceparts.com/

that is the guy who has taken an interest in my car
Dave was the person that actually did the organisation fro bringing the car into Australia for me .......and since seeing it has taken an active interest in what is and what is not available for our cars
he can get many many things reproed BUT cost for setting up tooling
to make 1 or 1000 is the same :(.a sad but true fact of life

personally i stand to make nothing out of any reproed item ..i will just be the person to liase between H body owners and Dave ...not like thats hard as its through email LOL

thanks for the offer though ..the coming soon /wish list may be an idea to point out to him , maybe some direct mail to him about H body parts needed would also be a great idea ...dunno suggestons greatly appreciated

The only thing that gets me about paying for these molds is that the company that has them has no cost into them, when there payed for it's material, time and profit, do they offer a percent of there own money into these molds? Or does whoever payed for the molds get them after the run?

Whenever we pay for molds here, we keep ownership of the molds or tooling. It's crazy for him to pay for them and not own them. He needs to find another company. There are tons of them out there.

These parts are all made in Australia. Distribution here in the U.S. will add a LOT of cost.

Wow, that would be very cheap. We ship a lot of stuff to Aus, and it costs a lot more than that.

Dave sends lots of parts to the USA ,...weird but true
it does appear that shipping in the USA is more expensive than shipping to the USA !
