My Mirage is on ebay

Postby nice77mirage » Wed Jul 12, 2006 4:52 pm

Well, guys.....it's been a crappy week. My relationship of 15 years has suddenly ended, and looks like I'll be moving out of state. Also this week I learned that the company I work for is closing the doors on Aug 31st.

The Mirage has got to go, so it's on ebay now:

I'll also be listing a 1967 VW bug for anybody interested.

Sorry this is in the main topic forum, but I need all the eyes I can get so I'll have a better chance of selling. Hope you understand.

Doyle......... best wishes.
Normally, I would be all over that Bug offer. '67 is a car that has one year specific parts...... a merging of old style 6 volt Bugs and the newer 12 volt Bugs. It's highly sought after in some Bug circles.
Rumor on the floor at work is the new owners are having a layoff tomorrrow. As bad as I hate to, you'll have to count me out for now. I'm contemplating selling my '62, also.
Actually, if it's a halfway decent '67, it'll go pretty easy on ebay, too...........

Hate to hear it Doyle. I was just telling my brother about your car and parts collection last night, I'll send him the link. I hope all works out for you. If you would, send me some pics of the bug, I'd be interested if the price is right.

DOYLE:as everybody else has stated, sorry about the end of your long standing relationship. don't know if you were actually married but i had a wife who after nearly 20 years, three children, lovely new 4 bedroom house,2 almost new vehicles, and just about all i feel a person would want, told me she wanted me to leave. to add insult to injury, there was no other man,or woman, she just didn't want to be married to me any more, and wanted the house ,cars, every thing, and custady of the kids. so i can relate. if it wasn't for haveing a great loyer and some lucky circumstances i probably would have lost about every thing but thankfully i didn't and she did. the bummer is the waste of twenth years.. i do have my kids so its not a total loss. hope you walk away with at least something good out of the deal. good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sold the car today with Buy-It-Now.

Thanks for all the sentiments guys, I really appreciate it. I'll keep everyone posted on what happens in my near future. I'm not leaving the forum, I love these cars and also the great friendships I have made over the years....even though most of you I've never even met.

Bonzai, I'll get pics of the Bug this weekend and email you. Sorry the timing is all wrong for you Dwight...you were the first person I thought of when I decided to sell.

Roy, I'll also email you about those parts we talked about.
