Yup, like that!!!

Both Olds Starfire front ends (second pic is later model style). Those are some great pics, you have one of those, or race against them?

Wished I owned one but I did see Warren Johnson drive that Olds at the World Finals (at OCIR) and that car was a hand full he was really working the wheel.

California Speedway is there to stay, they just built the new dragstrip on the back side of the oval track gonna get bigger and better. All those old tracks (I grew up 2 miles from the old Irwindale Raceway) were cool but the best was the old Ontario Motor Speedway (OMS) that place was years ahead of it's time broke my heart when they tore it down what a waste. On the down side now Los Angeles County Raceway (LACR) is closing down within the next year. Love it or hate it was the only track around the area for a long time but there are some new tracks now with Irwindale Dragstrip (1/8 mile) , California Speedweay (1/4 mile) Perris Dragstrip (1/8 mile) then Barona Dragstrip (1/8 mile) . Ever been to Irwindale on a Test and Tune night (Thursday) that place is packed with some nice cars.

haven't been to irwindale for thursday night . maybe i'll go when the imsa gets sorted out. might be fun to see what a 600+ hp road race type car with 3.55 rear gears and way too much ground clearence would do in the 1/4 mile. would probably at least attract some atention do to it's rareity. most wouldn't be able to recognice it as a 75 Chevrolet under all that fiberglass body work.
