We don't do the alignments here, as we don't have the room for the rack currently. We take the cars to a local shop and have them do the alignment to our specs.

Here are some more pictures from this weekend.

OK, so what were you able to spec it out at? Did you have to do anything to get some additional positive caster? Sorry, I can't remember what you guys did to the suspension.

I'll have to let Jeff answer that one. He does all that technical stuff :)

Give it a few minutes to finish uploading, but here is another sweet video of the Vega at the Motor State Challenge.

Clyde,

Let me know when you want to bring it up, I do my own alignments at home.

Really? I was thinking about trying that but if you already have the tools maybe that would work out better. Plus it would be nice to have someone who understands H body suspensions. Once I get the 5 lug wheels on the front all done we'll talk. Thanks :th:

Our alignment specs 1.5-2 degree negative camber, 1/16 in toe in. Camber I dont remember.

We were invited by Car Craft Magazine to participate in the Real Street Eliminator Competition this weekend in St Paul MN at the Car Craft Nats
with our Vega. This is the competion we won last year in the "Temptress" (1965 Pontiac Tempest) and previously with "Cadillac Attack" (1982 Fleetwood).
I know we may have a problem winning the dyno challenge, but I'm going to try and win the Autocross and Launch Box and maybe we can pull off an upset.

After Day one of Car Craft RSE (Muscle Car Class)
We are in 1st place in the Launch Box competition
2nd Place in the Autocross.

We do have a bottle for the dyno competition.

This event allows any DOT tire, in the past I had good luck using drag radials on all 4 corners and pumping them up to higher pressure for AX. At this event the pavement is very abrasive, and I completely wasted a brand new set of bfg drag radials the 1st day. I've got real AX tires being air shipped this morning.
