what size and part number of the be cool radiator did you use? how much and what mods did you have to do to make it fit? most people with these cars find that a pusher fan just doesnt work good enough to keep the car cool. i had two pushers on mine and they did not work for me. i kept them for extra cooling in stop and go traffic but i had to mount a 15 1/4 inch flexalite mechanical fan on the water pump wich made cooling a non issue and my rad is only a copper 13 1/2 x 25 three core. you might find you have to move the rad forward and mount either an electric puller or the afforementioned mechanical fan. look for a thread by v8astregt he moved the rad forward and used the taurus electric puller on his astre and that worked well for him in arizona! if i can find the thread ill post the link for you here. flexalite part number 1315 is what i used on mine(blue) chrome part number is 1350 unless your water pump is reverse rotation then the smallest it shows on the box is 16 inch part number 1516 gold might be too big in these smaller cars. i think the 15 1/4 was the biggest i could get to clear and needed a stock crank center bolt as the arp one was too long and interfered with the blades.

Jeff,

The color looks great and the wheels are a nice balance to the car.

Not sure on BeCool rad part number, look on their website. The fan is a Genuine Spal from BeCool that is designed to be a pusher fan, and has lots of CFM.
I'm gonna try it anyway. LS engines dont get too hot with the alloy block and all.
Thanks

here is a wild suggestion since ive never seen anyone do it , flip the intake and put the tb under the cowl , it would be short and sweet

I would love to see pic's, or an explination of the procedure to make one out of fiberglass. I have been reading a lot about making stuff out of fiberglass, for the most part you need a mold, or a structure underneath it. But for a tube, I have no idea how you will do it.
My only guess is to make a mold, but then how do you remove it from inside without destroying the part in the process?

Nice choice of wheels- from the basic design they look pretty similar to my 14'' Minilite wheels, but only 15''.

No room for the MAF sensor, or an air filter that way.
