WTF is up with birds this year???

Postby marco_1978_spyder » Sat Jul 15, 2006 11:21 am

Just clocked my second one this year!

I think the same kind of bird again, not a chickadee, a bigger black bird with a long narrow beak.

Not crow though, much smaller.

was chasing another bird...saw them heading my way as I was rolling down a parkway (60mph)...

One made it, even tried as much braking and swerving as I dared, but nope, he didnt make it.

Made quite a little 'bomp' to as the poor little guy deflected.

I guess better my car than some motorcyclists helmet.

The first one I hit earlier this year in the sunbird.

A few weeks later I clocked the deer, so I'm taking this as another warning.

These dumb birds are dive bombing in front of my car all the time....are birds getting stupid?
or making a game out of dodging cars?

Marco, I know what you mean!!! I drive about 90 miles round trip to work in an 04' Olds Alero nicknamed the "bird killer". I drive through rural farmland at about 65 m.p.h. and I swear they want to die. Maybe they got bird flu and this is like jumping off a tall building to them.
