Looks awesome ! Are you going to open it up? If not you might want to paint the insert a flat black so you don't notice it is closed off.

That does look awesome How you plan to mount it Under or over I'm going to guess under the hood based on the gapes with it sitting there in the pics, Hey shouldn't this post be moved to the body work section . Not to take away from the glory of the effort . I am going to watch the process of the install if the pics can be taken and posted. Would love to see the process .

looks GREAT,
btw, where'd you get it?
I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs.

3rd president of US (1743 - 1826)

the scoop will be mounted as a bolt on style with 3m tape and probably some screws from the bottom. there is a flange all the way down each side fom front to back. i have also made a fiberglass filler piece to fill the gap between the vette insert and the hood in the front. i shortened the overhang at the back all the way across by about an inch to clear the passenger wiper arm, youd never know its gone till i told you. the scoop did require some work to get the bottom edgegap square as possable to the hood from fron to back on both sides and there was a hollow down both sides as a result of the bolt on flange being added that i filled to make the sides flat from top to bottom as like most things fiberglass these days it did not fit perfectly at the start, im very happy with the final result though! oh and for those who wanted to know the scoop was made for me by rob at showcars body parts, mine is the prototype he used to make the final mould so anyone that buys one will get a copy of mine but the front panel where i have the vette insert installed would come blocked off and you trim it to fit the bulge of your hood :th: THE BULGE ON VEGA HOODS IS NOT THE SAME FOR ALL YEARS! i have a spare hood for mock up that has a 1974 emissions exemption sticker on it and the bulge on that hood is not the same height as mine, mine is taller, i always thought they were all the same, anyone ever notice this before?
