What did you use for the window trim? I have the corner peices, but the actual molding flaked away. Have some door protector trim on it now and want to change to single peices and was wondering what you used.

Thanks.

Mark,

The drip molding may be common to all GM cars of that vintage. You might want to check some Impalas at your wrecking yard. If you can pull some, you might be able to trim them to make them look original. The ones on the 2DR Impala/Caprice might be just what you are looking for.

I used this http://www.jcwhitney.com/3/8-x-25-ultra ... id=c1802j1 . After looking for the real parts with no luck I was told to try it. Worked well but tuff to bend around the corners. Patience Helps!

On the bottom pic there is a gap between the molding accross the top and the one fastened inside the door jamb. Am I missing something or does the raingutter trim fit in there?

Thanks Bill

Here are the finished pics (without the raingutter molding). I waxed it inside the building today and will drive it home tomorrow. Also have a pic of the custom interior! Thanks everyone for the positive feedback and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Mark,

The exterior came out great. That custom interior has gotta go though! I will try that molding and see how it works, hopefully it will come out as good. Gotta love that body style too!

Last post on this thread was over 4 years ago so I guess it's about time I get back to work. Trying to get some parts together. I brought these seats to be reupholstered 2 years ago. Had some health issues so it wasn't a big deal the guy kept putting it off. Finally got them back Thursday and I have to say it was worth the wait. The red sections are not vinyl, it's a nice fabric. Will match the carpet and headliner. Plastic pieces will be black with 2 color red/black door panels. Black armrests. Here are a few pics. Also I'm getting the wheels powder coated next week. Will post pics when they are done. Shootin for the Monzaque Bryan!

Good job, that car looks real nice with the black and red, if you dont mind me asking how did they do the new vinyl top? is that a part you have to order from somewhere or do they just make it out of vinyl or what?
