I have a Griffin part# 1-25201-X cooling my v6. 24"X16" total size. I like it a lot. If you have a automatic trans, you will need a trans cooler. Hard to beat it for the under the $200 price.

well, I was running my distributor vacuum advance above the butterflies on a ported port. With only 12 degrees advance at idle. I switched to below the butterflies for full manifold vacuum at idle. So with 12 initial 32 with vacuum line hooked up and 42 full advance. The old monza radiator is holding at 200-205 at idle with the factory radiator, only the tiny upper shroud and 195 stat with a outside air temp of 105! So I am very happy!!! Its running like a beast as well. When you punch it and the kickdown cable downshifts the trans, It barks the tires when shifting back from 2 to drive and pulls like a mofo!!!

]Maybe you can help me also I have a 26x19 aluminum radiator with 2 rolls of 1and 1/4 inch tubes from Summit and have bad heating problems.Heres my set up 2 pushers at 1250 cfm so they say ,no ac, no power stearing with a t5 trans.I have no room for a real fan or pullers with a 350 and a short aluminum high flow water pump. I have tried a lot of the suggestions and still having problems.Heres my question I hear a lot about shrouds and I know they work but how do you set a shroud up for pushers?

There is no way to do a shroud for pushers. You REALLY need to find a way to get a puller or pullers in there. 1250 cfm isn't really gonna cut it either. A LOT of the V8 S10 guys are running the Intrepid/Concord 2 speed dual fan setups, myself included. They are good for at least 2500 cfm. I'm running a Be-Cool single row 19x31 in front of a 430 hp Vortec head, hydraulic roller, .080 over 350 (363ci), with ice cold AC, in central Florida, and I never see over 185°. 8)

Texas heat being the key words here. I have used both an aluminum and brass and not much difference in the two. The aluminum just heated up more slowly but both ran at 220 and above in 107 F Texas temps. Its the nature of the beast with the H-Body engine compartment design where air flow is restricted. As I mentioned in another thread all I have to do is use spacers to prop the hood open an inch or so and the hot air escapes and temps stays around 190. I really can't do any serious summer highway driving without the spacers in place.

Thats the reason I plan on using the Pontiac Fiero or the Chevrolet Z34 hood louvers on my Monza, either will allow the heat to escape.

I would imagine there are a lot of things that you can't do in 107 degree heat.

I have an extra hood so I am seriously thinking of doing louvers in it for a summer hood.

It does put a damper on a lot of things. This present summer has been the hottest on record in Dallas with 68 hundred plus days and an all time record average overnight low of 84 degree low temp. Brutal to say the least. My electric bill increased by 78% the last two months.
