Like what you have done. I am going to do the split bumper on my 73 also. Like what you did on the end with the fiberglass. I have though about how to dress up the ends after the cut was made. How are you going to finish the fiberglass tips? Be sure to show a finished pictiue. Keep up the good work.

Although it looks good, I see an issue. Fiberglass and metal expand and contract at different rates, and therefore the paint will crack. Or do you plan to just paint the endcap?

Will be using a Imron Polyurethane Enamel paint on the bumpers. Had great luck with it in the past.. very crack and chip resistant.
I also but up quite a few layers of glass on the back side, and its rock solid, so imo there shouldn't be any issues. Thanks for the
replies.

I hope you didn't cut up a nice straight bumper to make these. I have several damaged bumpers that I would have gladly cut up and welded like this for you in trade for a one good straight 71-72 bumper.

Nope. The bumper wasn't all that great. Dings, scratches, needed a rechrome.
