Steakley Bros Chevrolet Dallas,Texas

Brings back memories, that is a view of the used car lot. My first job as a teenager was working as a 'Gofor' at Steakly. I eventually worked my way up to a line mechanic working mostly on Corvettes of the day. My Buddies father owned the Shell station across the street in the picture which became our hang out. I was gone from Steakly before Vega's arrived in '71. I could go on.

Btw, Steakley Bros Chevrolet is no more.

AWESOME story! It's a shame that it doesn't exist anymore, though. Also seems that all the dealerships look the same nowadays.

This is from the GM dealership that I work at. Taken in 1978 at Hiday motors in Bluffton Indiana. Red Dye is the big guy and he is still working for us cleaning cars today. The small guy is Brent Hiday and he is the son of our owner, and currently runs our Chrysler dealership. Back then we were a Pontiac, Buick, Cadillac, GMC dealer. Now we sell Chevrolet and Buick.
