Going to the Crusher

Postby ol55 » Fri Apr 11, 2014 10:11 pm

A friend called me tonight to say he is going to get rid of three Vegas. Is there any "must save" parts I should get? There are two wagons, one a GT and a hatchback. The wagons have titles. If you are local (parts of PA, MD,VA, WV) PM me if you are interested in the whole cars. Hatchback not shown.

I have a friend in Rouzerville, PA that will take all of them for the crushing fee + a few extra bucks to make it worth his/her while.

I am interested in the rear spoiler on the red wagon if the price is right.

It doesn't look like the rear hatches are solid.... so it won't help me.
But windshields seem to be hard to come by. Good padded dash pads, also. GT dashes with instrments. Door panels and interior plastics. I'm sure there are good useable parts there.

If you have room, buy for them what he would get for scrap and part them out. Glass, lenses, valances, grills, trim interior bits etc etc etc. You could make a few dollars.
YES I accept paypal donations...

Last Call ...Looks like these may finally go next week. I will PM anyone that responded if I get the part you wanted. Will check the wanted posts also. If anyone has any suggestions such as those by bugdewde about parts that are worth having, let me know.

Also, I will have limited time with my needs (see avatar) first so not the best situation. Did I mention my fear of snakes....

I could really use the rear valance below the bumper for a '71-'73'. I also need the rear vertical inside plastic for a wagon. Black preferred but as long as they're not chaulky, I'm interested. GT round gauges would also be an item I could use. . Also need a wagon windshield but shipping may be a problem.

Edit: I also need 1 GT fender emblem and the passenger side lower fender molding for a GT.
Edit: I also need the inner rear passenger side plastic panel, the rear portion of the long 2 piece panel.
Thanx

Jerry

Here is a list:

Rear window trim. I will take any trim in good shape.

GT grille (if broke, if the stainless trim is good, I will take it).

Not sure the years, but really need good straight front and rear bumpers for 71-72. The 73 bumpers have a vertical slot on each side as the jack fits in that slot and the 71-72 have a horizontal opening at the bottom of each side for the lip of the jack to fit in. If that doesn't make sense, I will see if I can get some pics.

If the GT instrument cluster has the lens with the amp gauge (says AMP on it), I need that (just the lens). I don't need the whole cluster, but if you can remove it, they sell for about $125-150 in good shape. If the wood grain bezel is in good shape, I would like that too since you got to take it off to get the lens off.

Front and rear valances.

The trim outlined in yellow in this pic (both sides and from both cars if possible I need two sets):

If they have rear vents (located in the middle of the rear two side windows) there are the vent covers I need. Here is a pic of where they go:

I know if I saw them, I would ask for more.

Thanks,
Ken

I have the room but I don't think they are close enough to make it worth while. :(
