I insure my cars at a stated value. When you have classic car insurance you can use your car however you wish as long as you dont have a problem, but those exemptions are in those policies for someones advantage, and guaranteed it is not yours.

Anybody insure a non-factory V-8 H-Body? Any problems? Company?

Thanks,

I have been with Hagerty for about 4 years. Great service, always on top of everything I call on. Had a towing claim last year on a trip to North Carolina, one call, the flatbed truck was there in 1/2 hour and even recommended and honest repair shop to do the repair.

This is their business. No side businesses, so I believe they stay on top of what we need as classic insurance consumers.

USAA covers my classics with no grief.

I looked into Haggerty, and they require the vehicle to be garaged and never driven.

Garaged yes. But all really nice well kept cars that are staying that way are usually garaged anyways. Non - garaged and driven alot, is for daily driver's. Regular ins.companies with those relentless advertising campaigns can handle those policies.

Never driven at all?.. maybe in some cases, like if your insuring a 100% concourse d'elegance show winner with 24 original miles, worth a quarter million... because you wouldn't be driving it anyways. But they give plenty of milage available for a real sunday cruiser....or weekend warrior.

8) I've been happy with their service, surprised by the cool articles in their seasonal publication, and delighted with their recognition of the H body from time to time. I let them know about the Monzaque, and they might throw it a mention.
