Looks pretty clean under there! I'll vote for the 3.8 L / 5 spd swap. Is the Ozzy version of the blower better or something?

From what I've read the OZ version was available in a RWD application.
From what pictures I've found so far the air inlet on the blower is different than a FWD version.
Is anything else different, I don't know. Would be nice to get some OZ intake gaskets and compare to US versions for bolt patterns.

Even a 200HP NA 3800/5sp seems like it would run good.
Also thought of a CPI Vortec 4.3/5spd but the engine is larger/heavier.

Took the car out today with new plates and INS for about a 20 mile cruise. Runs good and rides pretty smooth.
Just noticed the sun visors are MIA.

Wow, that is sharp! Have you considered a 3.6 V6? I have one in my daily driver 2010 Camaro. Rated at 305 hp, averages about 28 mpg in my 4,000 pound car, and at 138,000 miles, still runs like day 1. I think this would be a great engine for the H-body.

I do believe that the DOHC design of the 3.6 makes it a fairly large and heavy engine.
Packaging might be an issue.

I'm presently doing the 3800 SC swap. I looked at the Aussie RWD setup. While it solves the issue getting the TB to the front IMHO you would still need to modify the firewall with the result of giving up your AC and heat ductwork. NA 3800 would be the way to go unless your just stuck on the Blower. Just be aware the 3800 does not share anything with the 3.8.

A RWD 3800 from an F-body would be a pretty easy swap, IMO.
This pic looks promising, would like to see a dressed engine out of the car to see how far back the intake extends. Four years ago I picked up a SC Buick Regal for a swap, should have kept it but there is always more out there.

That is good, I have no use for the old designed 3.8, was only marginal in the '86/87 Turbo Buicks.

H-Body engine compartments are very deceptive to the eye but hey! I say goforit!

While they might be tight there is still enough firewall room for a rear mounted HEI distributor on a SBC V8,
Trying to look at a used LNF 2.0 this weekend but dang are the parts expensive, $200+ just for main bearings.

If I do a SC 3800(L67) I'd need to find two engines.
One donor F-body with a 3800(L36) and a L67 FWD engine. F-body for obvious reasons and the L67 for the accessory drive components and connecting rods. The L67 uses different sized wrist pins than the L36 so I can't just put L67 pistons in a L36 block. The cranks share part numbers so they are the same.

Sure would be nice to see a SC3800 Holden in person however. :(
