71 - 73 chrome headlight bezels?

I've seen a few cars with chrome headlight bezels but figured they were custom. There's a pair on e-bay and they claim they are "rare". Did Chevy ever send Vegas out with the chromed trim around the headlights?

They did only in 1973. And only on the Canadian Pontiac Astre. They are rare. They may have been an option on the 71 and to 73 Vega's but I haven't come across that yet in my h body digging.

Never any where on a 71-73 Vega. Used only on the Canadian sold Astre in 73 as vegavulture mentioned.

Yep, like they've said.... '73 Pontiac Astre. Only offered in Canada. Astre wasn't offered in the US until '75 which used the late model crash bumpers.

Anyone know what it would cost to get a set chromed? Roughly.

They do look good on certain colors of vegas, never came on them as others said. I saw those on ebay and thought about getting them but thats just about what my chrome guy charges to do them and they would be "newly plated".

Just my opinion but seems like you never can get the whole picture on chrome till you have it in your hands, the white specks and dots are not picked up by the camera. Plus, if they are original gm the plating is far from show quality or nice its more a flashing on these cars....lol

I would have jumped on them and taken the chance had he had a bit lower price on them.
