I have finally received my Spyder decal package from Stencils & Stripes. The only decal that really needs replacing is the hood spider stripe. Now the million dollar question is "What is the best way to remove a decal that has been on a vehicle for 35 years without damaging the paint?"
Reality is like a bar of soap. Sometimes it's hard to get a grip on it.
Yes, it is . I remove 14 day ago the decals on the fenders from a Starfire Firenza (sorry Alan) . Its not easy, 1/2 Hr work but no damage to the paint .

Ohhh, the humanity!!!! Although if it is just the fender stripe that looks pretty replacable. Just black vinyl material with red over it. I'm hoping to be able to find a shop that can recreate the white "firenza" lettering.

I found from a you tube video how to remove window tint . Take a steamer for clothing and steam the tint off the car.i tried it and it worked really well on my monza wagon. It might be a good way to remove a decal as well.
