A modernized Mirage paint scheme?

Postby Fastmax32168 » Wed Sep 24, 2014 1:22 pm

So I am finally nearing completion on my 7 year Mirage project. I have it sitting here all painted white and ready for me to apply the factory style striping that I purchased a few years ago. However over the years, this car has gotten quite far from stock, so keeping it factory pure is no longer an issue. It now has a dual quad 406, Tons of chrome and polish, IROC wheels, no rear seat and a roll bar. What I was thinking of was applying stripes to it that would be in the spirit of the original, have it still be obviously a Mirage, but would give it a more up to date, modern look. However my brain has yet to spit out exactly how I could accomplish this. Anybody else got any ideas?
Thanks
Roy

I've got some, viewtopic.php?f=19&t=35294&start=45

I didn't know if you had seen that post before.

Concept Mirage graphics from Jack Purcell. To me they are modern looking and if you used one you could angle the modified with heritage :D

I like this one. Several of the lower body graphics drawings would keep the hood clean for your dual quad 406!

That is pretty good. It might be a bit more involved than I have the wherewithall to deal with at this point though as to do it right would require me to re-clear the entire car. But then, maybe not....

Roy I'm sure whatever you do will be top notch! I didn't know if you had seen those drawings before and if not just something to look at. Keep us posted, Brian
