Sold my Skyhawk

Postby Biscayne John » Sat Oct 04, 2014 3:28 pm

I just got the Bank Check in the mail today and my 78 Skyhawk is heading to Melbourne FL. He was an older car collector who owns several as what he called "oddball" cars. He was seeking something with low original miles with A/C, and this fit the bill.I have always been a Chevrolet collector, and the Buick really did not fit in (as far as my storage space in NY). So the Mirage and the Cosworth will be my main focus. I don't know if the new owner will be visiting here, he did not even have e-mail, I had to mail him pictures of the car, there are still people like that left. It's going to a good home.

I hope it Found a good home, and I hope you are happy with the dollar amount you got for it. At least you should have some $$$$ to spend on the other cars now.

Not really good for me Bought it for 3K spent 500 to ship it, tossed in another grand and sold it for $3,800 got to play with it for awhile. Went to a good home, and was too nice of a car to sit outside in the winter. I have another operation coming up next month so I don't need it laying around. Has some neat stuff, A/C, tilt AM/FM, Tinted Glass, Lo mileage 33K nice running 3.8
