Wow,

Does the seller actually believe the car is factory? It looks like a not so well done conversion from the 80's. I wonder if they beefed up the chassis any.

I have a couple 86 Sunbird Turbo convertibles, and while they were "factory built"; hardtop cars were actually sent to a specialty shop that was under contract from GM to build them. So I highly doubt this was done at the factory.. or at a specialty show under contract.

That's the only convertible I've ever seen that actually looks better with the top up than with the top down.

I noticed it has 80 grilles, not 78.

I like the idea of a convertible h-body, but I do not care for the execution on this one: I do not like the missing side opera windows or the way they hacked the leading door glass trim. Would a convertible be made this way by a convertible shop? I'd be curious to see how they got the door glass to seal under the top, as well as make it stiff enough to stay in the door without the window channel frame.
