75 Astre Safari Wagon GT

Postby badtoad454 » Sun Oct 12, 2014 1:43 pm

I just got home from 18 hour road trip to get this wagon, which turned out to also be a GT, even cooler. I started running the numbers from a numbers ID book I have and some numbers don't line up within this book. Any help would be nice.

2V15BC101918

75 2HV15 C 021776
11Y A51 W8OL W80U
09D 021776 4495

according to my book the HV15 should be a HX15.
I guess it doesent really matter but I would just like to know.
This car will be put back on the road, far to many wasted as a drag queen already.

That's a lot of info and its awesome! Thanks...
It dosent have the Luggage rack or a Vinyl Roof
Has the GT dash, blacked out rockers , AC , had front N rear sway bars, White GT stripe , Std steering wheel .
I really have no idea what I want to do with it as of right now other than it will go back on the road.
It does need rear quarter lips or the whole quarter on pass side . Typical rust in bottom of fenders and behind doors.

Currently being aired out due to a few decaying small body's , what was left of the interior is out , not much of it any good really.
Ill start repairing the body while I look for that magical sign telling me what I want to do with it. :bored:

I'm still cutting up that 79 Sunbird wagon. The quarters are solid if you need some patch panels.

It dosent have the Luggage rack

Hmmm?
The Safari designation is a luggage rack, so the luggage rack has been removed? Are their holes in the roof for the rack?

I have a question on the wheels, are they painted over the silver or is that factory orange on them?

Original paint , no holes filled , no body work of any kind on this one.
