Value of a Complete IECO/Dobi Stage V 140?

Postby ericseattle » Sat Oct 25, 2014 7:43 pm

Wow. It's been 5 years since my last post here. A lot has changed. I finally sold off my 35-year collection of Vega stuff and have this one item left. I seem to recall they called the maxed out 140 the Stage V. It's complete from oil pan to finned Dobi valve cover, including dual 40DCOE Webers and what I believe is the IECO header. I separated the head from the block to confirm they appear to be the 11.5:1 pistons shown in the IECO catalog, and the head appers to by the high-flow version with the bigger valves and ported passages. I am assuming the cam is the 0.5-inch lift they offered with the dual Weber set up. The intake manifold and throttle linkage are both present.

I would very much like to get this out of my garage and into the hands of someone who can put it to use, but I have no idea what a fair market value would be. Anyone care to comment?

It sounds desireable. Shipping is gonna be a lot.

I'd guess at least $800.00

The only Vega's that only had a little rust were the ones still on the assembly line.

I'd take it this instant, but i'm on the other side of the planet ... crating it would be kerfuffle and cost a fortune :(
