4-1/4 gas cap new pictures

Postby 79440bird » Tue Nov 18, 2014 4:08 am

These are made from injected urethane. I have only made a few of these caps, then ran out of material an started working on the filler panel. These caps do not have the metal inside the handle where the screws hold the metal part on. I have that area filled with urethane an the screws hold good. The Chevy cap was something else I was playing around with. Not sure if it's the correct angles on it but thought it would be kool. It's all urethane and only sticks out about the same if not less than the OEM grab handle 1/2" or 3/8

The Chevy handle is really cool (the regular one looks nice too). Now you have to make a "Rocket" one.

There might be if the cap was reoriented so that the handle was vertical instead of horizontal at full close :D
