Never mind, Marco. My DVD was literally just delivered in the mail when I posted that question. Have watched about 30 minutes of it so far and am loving it! Thanks so much! :th:

Hey Marco,

me too has some of these H-body Promotional videos, 8 of them to be exact.

Bought them on eBay for quite some time ago... maybe I outbid you on some

Which ones of my 8 is included in your DVD compilation? I read you had 1975-1979 Monzas. Do you also have that 4th from top? "Product Training"

There is only one of these that I have converted to digital media, and that is the "1976 Monza"

All looks and sounds interesting! Did you guys have to bust open the case to get them transferred over to VHS/digital? Whats a good way to get them to digital? I've got Skyhawk ones to do.

Yes, you have to open the case. The film roll itself is actually "Super-8" format, the common format people had before video. One bit that can be a bit tricky though, is that the sound is "optical", not magnetic (like a cessette tape), so if you want the sound too (and you want that) :) you got to have a projector that supports that.

I didn't know that about the sound. I thought about getting a projector, I guess some people record with a digital camera as they play the Super 8. Here Walmart will transfer it to digital for $25.00

I think letting Walmart do one might work. See how well it works out. Thanks, Brian

Brian, I would be REAL interested in getting copies of the Skyhawk tapes you have. Let me know how I can help.

I haven't gotten the DVD yet but they put the videos online. No sound, I guess if the quality isn't very good they don't try to get it. I would like to have the sound so when I get the film back I'll look for a projector.

I didn't watch the whole video yet but I didn't see anything for the Free Spirit or Nighthawk.

Only 22 minutes and some of it is for the 77 Skylark. A lot of shots of the Road Hawk and Designer Accent for 79. They even power brake the RH and slam it into reverse and then back to drive (need the sound for that one).

Hey, nice :th:

I don´t think they tried to get it, my guess is they couldn´t. That´s because of the optical sound of these cartridges:

So, even if you get a 8mm projector you have to make sure it can handle optical sound. I believe these are rare to find.

Ok, so this is unique for the super 8mm - optical sound? Just my luck :x
