5 Lug Vega upgrade, WIW

Postby nutt » Sun Dec 28, 2014 4:06 pm

After finishing the fab work on my own S10 conversion/72 Vega, I came across these pieces. I'm thinking of selling them and trying to come up with a value. A arms have all new poly bushings, S10 ball joints and have been professionally machined, sleeved and fitted with S10 BJs. The machinist tig welded the sleeves in and the work looks excellent. The upper a-arms have been also fitted with S10 uppers BJs. S10 spindles have new bearings and rotors. A-arms were blasted and painted a semi-gloss. If I had found these prior to my build, they'd be on my car, but really don't want to change them out.

I guess $1.00 is fair, plus shipping...
Hah, just kidding obviously, but I am starting a fresh build and would be interested in these. Let;s see what the forum thinks is fair and work from there.

If these would fit a 77 Monza I would be interested, so I will also wait until the people on here can give a reasonable price. :th:

I think a trip to http://www.autozone.com will net you a price on the new parts, those sleeves are $10/15 each and some time for the welding and go from there. You have premium slotted/drilled rotors (more $ than AZ), new bearings(?) new BJ's(4?) new dust caps, a pair of spindles, and all four control arm pieces, with bushings. If you add that up it will quickly turn into some cash but anybody buying these and looking at that conversion will already know these prices and realize how much work this dodges having it ready to go. :th: Harry

You still working on a price for these? I'm still interested.

I've decided to keep these on the shelf until I get my project on the road. I'll put them back up for grabs if I decide at that point not to use them.
