Typically with Webers if they sit for long periods, the jets, both main and idle, have a habit of plugging up. A good spray of carb cleaner usually takes care of the problem. The jets are found under the small wing nut and round cover. All you have to do is unscrew them to take them out before spraying. Also make sure the gasket is in place under the edge of the cover.

I plan on keeping the car original, and if o do make a change, I keep whatever comes off the car so I can change it back if I need to. I cleaned the jets on the weber and still had the same issue, bogging at half throttle. I messed with the mixture screws using a site online with original weber specs. Still had the same problem. so I decided on swapping it with the new holley. I keep the car inside, I don't beat on it or drive it in bad weather. I appreciate this car a lot, and wanted to buy it partially because I didn't want it to be turned into a drag car or something

The picture of the engine is from Super Chevy, what issue was the car in?

Are some of the parts from Motion? Is there a way to tell?

Some more info from Super Chevy, this was under the picture in the link above.

"Longtime Super Chevy Show attendee and guru of the oddball Chevy, Jim Brady, brought out one of his most recent finds, this vintage (unrestored) Vega with a fully-built, 11:1 compression four banger, four-speed manual, and period four lug Cragars. Wow."

Yeah the car was in super chevy, it's the first picture that comes up if you type in "ieco vega". From what I know it has a ported and polished head, aftermarket cam, aftermarket pistons, 11:1 compression ratio, and the weber setup. I was told it had a posi rear but it is an open rear. The spoilers I believe we're used on motion cars, as well as yenko cars . I have more pics if interested
