I have a question about the summit cruise in....is it a community event or h-Body's only?

In years past we normally would head out south and cross at Buffalo and meet up with some NY folks between Buffalo and Erie.

To answer Bryan yes thays the same plan but with a bunch more cars meet at 1st exit after you get on interstate 80.
As for summit its just us driving in together .as we are not a club they wanted insurance bla bla bla but manager said he would love to have a whole bunch of customers show up in cool cars at thr same time .i hope that expains that. And im thinking of a group picture at lordstown plant after breakfast but thats not aproved by them either.

The show is almost here!! There will be a lot of nice cars there including: A millionth Vega, Several Cosworth Vega's, some very nice Oldsmobile Starfire's, Buick Skyhawk's and Monza Spyders as well as lots of nice Vega's and Monza's. There will be a few Grumpy's Toy's there as well (original and replica's). The swap meet area should be big with H-body parts and cars for sale. Looking forward to meeting people from all over and as far away as Vermont, New Hampshire, Minnesota, Canada, Michigan and the Carolina's. See you all there!

I'm hoping to attend, as long as I can swing getting the Friday off work. Looks like the HI is booked, are there alternatives close by?

Cheers,
Tim

The show is going to be here before you know it!! We are expecting a great turnout. Upwards of 50-70 cars. A lot of promotion was done on social media. We will have a good showing from the CVOA with 7-10 cars. There are people coming from all over including NH, NC, MN, MI, OH, NY, VT, CO, WV and PA as well as Canada. People are encouraged to bring swap meet H-body items. There are guys bringing trailers of H-body parts. See you there.

Looks Like I've got the Friday off.. so my son and I will be attending!
Should be a blast, my son was along on my first big road trip in the Vega down to Las Vegas for the '99 Cosworth Roundup :)
Now that he is all grown up, it will be fun to have him along for a road trip again.

Cheers,
Tim

Great to hear Tim!! Cool story about your son! We should have a good turn out from the CVOA. I love seeing Vega's! It's been 22 years since I owned one! I'm on the lookout for a stock Vega wagon.

Thanks,
Bill

Great news that Tim will be able to attend he has done much to move our cars forward technically and being a great supporter. Hope the "Frog" will be at it's best with the new T56! Interested in the mileage (fuel in US Gallons/mile) that it takes from Toronto down the QEW and our Interstates.

My T5 Monza clocks around 25 MPG with the .64 overdrive in the WC transmission.

Tim, will you join us at I80? I need to be in Buffalo on Sunday afternoon, so I would like to follow you home if you are going that way on I90.

I'm still in! Wont have my car though. Would have had to cobble it together to make it, and i didn't want to do that. Got some final maintenance to do on my truck before the trip. (Oil and pan gasket change, differential fluid changes, intake swap, and header gaskets.) Will be bringing some parts for the swap meet.
