Bryan did you set up a host hotel?

A host hotel? The MonzaQue has hardly been large enough to be able to request a hotel to reserve rooms. Maybe the most number of people who have stayed at local motels/etc has been 2, maybe 3? There is plenty of accommodations in the area, from hotels, motels and B&B's, each of which has been used in the past. I can provide a list if wanted.

Bill (and others) this is where I found our accommodation's with a simple "Yahoo" search a few years ago, now I have this bookmarked. Harry http://www.northumberlandtourism.com/en ... y_2015.pdf Reminder read all of the amenities, for example these aren't all Air Conditioned, they only need it about two weeks a year, around the August long weekend, Go Figure

Here is the Hotels site for the Trenton area (http://ca.hotels.com/de1634840/trenton- ... 718367.d.c).

The Ramada is right off the highway, therefore the easiest to use and has been stayed in by past MonzaQue veterans with no complaints. The rest of them are farther into town, or on the opposite side of town from the 401.

Brighton has a small motel, the Presqui'ile Beach Motel is a small motel with decent accommodations and has been used in the past. http://www.presquilebeachmotel.com/

Campbellford (just 10 mins north of us) has the Campbellford River Inn which has decent reviews but don't know anyone who has stayed there yet. http://www.riverinn.on.ca/

The Presquile is a 100$ a night dump, far from "decent" imo. WiFi only works in the parking lot. May as well have slept on a sheet of plywood. I'm sure you can do better than this place.

LOL, I'd forgotten about your experience there last year Chris. Mark stayed there a few years back, said it was nothing special. Didn't realize it was that much though. Probably just a little better than the old motel we all used to stay in at Salem, OH.

Huge weight off the shoulders. I was scheduled to work both Friday and Sunday, the weekend of the 10th Annual MonzaQue and that week was also restricted in my vacation picks back in the fall. I figured I'd take time later in the month and be able to switch holidays with someone out there. Low and behold, a month to go and I'm still scrambling to find a taker. Having to work Fri and Sun would have made for a short and 'dry' 'Que for me.

FOrtunately I stumbled on a new guy at the hall who has the week I need AND no plans with it and jumped at my swap. WHEW! Now my MonzaQue can be long and not 'dry'.

1 month to go, anyone interested in attending pleasde drop me a line or post here so I can get an idea of numbers for the food purchases.
