Vega/Astre wiper arms

Postby lleelduo » Mon Aug 10, 2015 3:47 pm

In case anyone needs help with wiper arms. I did some research. the wiper arms and blades for a 1967-68 Camaro/Firebird convertible have the same mount and angle as the Vega/Astre. You can get them as reproductions in silver or polished stainless steel. I got a set in stainless, and a set of the Cosworth/Monza wiper transmission trim bezels. I painted the bezels to match the cowl and used the stainless wipers. Instant deluxe wiper package

The coupe is a slightly longer arm. I chose to error toward the shorter arm so as not to have any interference with the windshield moldings.

Those are pretty nice looking, good tip Larry. The ones on my car are black, I wonder how the polished stainless would look....Hmmm
Considering I already have the trim on the wheelwell lip and door edge guards along with all the chrome on the engine they kind of seem natural.

Clyde.. The Monza are is a different part# than the Vega/Astre part. They will mount the transmission fine but the length and blade end angle may be different. You have a bunch of hot rod friends... Take one of yours and match it against the Camaro unit to make sure it wont hit any moldings and then order some.
