We will have 8 Cosworths out on Woodward.

Look for this one;

I don't know why it keeps cutting part of the car off! It's all there when I download it.......

Its the width of your monitor/display I think, on mine it shows the entire car. Car looks great!

Good grefus,
Am I reading this right? 30,000 cars expected and 1.5 million spectators? How in the world do you get from one place to another? Find a good spot? Park on some ones lawn? I guess you show up a day or two early and camp out? Sounds like fun but geeezzz...

Woodward Avenue is 16 miles long and 8 lanes(4 north and 4 south) and runs from Detroit to Pontiac. It gets pretty crowded in the afternoon but most people are courteous and if you put your turn signal on they will let you over.
It is something to behold. Just looking at pictures or listening to someone talk about it doesn't even come close to experiencing it. A few years ago I talked my dad into going. He was completely blown away! He couldn't get over number of cars and people there. :th: :shock: :D

Phil you will just have to come and see now won't you! :pook: This should be on your "Automotive Bucket list" long before bucket time! This would be a good family trip as there is something for the whole family here not just us "Gearheads'" I am willing to add detail as I am sure the others from this area will jump in and help tell you where to go [ :lol: ] It is a spectacle like no other, Think of the worst traffic jam you have ever seen, but Hot Rods no "mommy rides" and no temper and everybody is happy to be there! No I haven't been into that funny "Kool-Aid" And No I didn't get to go this year, I need to win the Lotto so I can quit my job :cry: Harry

Harry,
Pretty much at the top of my list. My Vega brother for the last 30 plus years has assured me this is in our future. I see it clearly at times, the open road and a sweet H-Body ride to Motor City. Obviously this little gathering is the "Sturges" of the automotive hot rod crowd. All I can say is..Hunter Thompson lives!

I looked for the Vega's but there is a lot of cars to be seen in one day. I would have stopped by if you would have posted a area that you were parked at. Lol Anyway the weather was great and once again Woodward cruise was packed with beautiful cars. Maybe see you next year.

we took our first trip to Woodward Dream Cruise this year and had an awesome time. It is almost overwhelming! We didn't take our little beast as it was our first year we wanted to just go and see how everything went, so we drove a newer Mustang convertible. Now that we know the layout, we plan on taking the Vega with us next year!
