Well I finally got the sides of the panel fit to the car and tailights an plate lights cut out. Looking pretty good. My outline for cutting the taillights out was a bit big on the driver side bottom. Info for later if using the stock taillights. I have a little more to do on the top when the hatch is open, then I have to fit this part to the mold and rework the mold a bit. But it's almost done. Lol. I know I have been saying that for a year now. Hoping to have it finished for the show this year. Remember this is made for any tailights you desire and for the monza I can make it without the license plate lights on the side. (Monza tailights are a bit longer and the license plate lights are up at the top)

It is looking fantastic! It almost makes me want to go looking for a Sunbird HB to put one on. Great work.

Hey! That is looking good. I am late moving back to Florida, where my 1980 Sunbird HB is stored at Richard's house. Wanted to be down there back on Jan 15. I am now aiming for my b'day 3/6. This is the only body piece I am missing. Can hardly wait for it!

Hey guys. I know I'm slow at finishing this fillerpanel I'm trying to finish this up here shortly and start making a few parts. Just finished refitting this first fiberglass piece because the ends were off a 1/8"-1/4". now making new ends of the mold. Then start making parts I hope. I'm hoping to have parts made for the Ohio car show meet. I Reworked the top of the mold too, so this will look nice when the hatch is open (no need for the metal brackets on top) plus I finally got sum help. Lol.

Yes I agree Eaglefish but I got other projects around the house to get done. LOL. I really would like this project done so I can start making my fiberglass vega stingray hood. I'm still hoping to bring a few panels to the H-body show in June. I won't have a running h-body there but it will be great to meet some of you guys an see your creativity on these forgotten hot-rods. I'm Crossing fingers to get stuff done. Thanks for the patience guys.
Doug

Any updates on the the much-needed fiberglass Sunbird taillight panel?

There is a lot of interest in it.
I know you are busy with the Turbo LS Engine swap now.
did you get a few of them to the H-body show in June?
