The 140 even responds well to the usual hot rod upgrades; I had one in my old 76 GT with a Holley 390 on a Spearco 4-bbl intake and a long tube header. It went into the 17's with a T-50 behind it. It actually worked pretty decent; especially compared to a 76 automatic GT I had that you could measure 0-60 time with an hourglass.
The "fleet"-
72 Vega HB Drag Car -383/'Glide/9"(9.35@146.19)(5.94@117.28 1/8th)
77 Vega Estate wagon- project(someday)will have TPI305/T-5, S-10 spindles/axles
76 Vega GT- 400/4spd/9" retired from active duty(rusty)
06 Silverado 2WD ex.cab daily
03 Silverado 2WD ex.cab (retired)
06 Haulin' 20ft enclosed car transporter
06 GMC Canyon Shop truck
07 Colorado project( 5.3 4L60e swap)
99 Saturn SL1- wife's car
01 Saturn SC2- son's project
07 Saturn Ion Redline project
and 4 more Saturn "parts cars"
Note- the very act of listing all of these has made me realize I have some kind of problem.....

Right,
This is what I have read here and else where . Reviewing my notes from two years ago when I came up with the idea I have cataloged a whole host of original stock parts I still have. The 140 I will have to start from scratch as it went to the scrap yard decades ago. The caveat to all this I still have to finish my current SJSC project which has been delayed by health issues which thankfully is behind me. In the mean time its fun to theorize ;)
