after 35 years i got a mirage

I was looking to get a pair of doors from this place. They were $400 for shells or $500 complete. High but probably right price since doors are impossible to find.

I was thinking about putting a 350 engine into the mirage producing around 400 hp. Should I look for a Saginaw 4 speed trans like came with the car when it was new or a beefier 4 speed ? What has your experience been with a Saginaw 4 speed ?
