I've been looking for ideas for painting my Vega drag car. I'm not sure exactly what I want to do with it, but it will be mostly green; with stripes, flames, panels, or in some combination that is "old school". Back in the 70's, a lot of drag cars, and especially the Pro Stocks had wild multi-colored paint jobs. That's the look I want to achieve.
Anyway, I typed "green chevrolet Vega" into a Google images search. 1st two pics? Tim McCabe's Kermit. Awesome. :th: Tim can now say his car is the best known green Vega on this planet.
I was thinking about that as a base color anyway.

77 Vega Estate wagon- project(someday)will have TPI305/T-5, S-10 spindles/axles
76 Vega GT- 400/4spd/9" retired from active duty(rusty)

06 Haulin' 20ft enclosed car transporter
06 GMC Canyon Shop truck
07 Colorado project( 5.3 4L60e swap)
99 Saturn SL1- wife's car
01 Saturn SC2- son's project
07 Saturn Ion Redline project
and 4 more Saturn "parts cars"
Note- the very act of listing all of these has made me realize I have some kind of problem.....

Spencer there was an "old superstition" that green was bad luck in racing [as on a car] as Tim doesn't race his no bad luck you on the other hand, are leaving wheels up and finishing well into the triple digits. We can't be having any of that "Mo-Jo" around you or that H-Bodied missile! I am sure we collectively can inspire a theme you can fall in Love with [eventually?] Harry

And if some one gives me the correct spelling of that exclamation I will fix that! :bang: It amazes me the number of words we all use that we have never seen in print.

Here's an interesting article on where the green superstition came from:

I kinda like this as a concept for starters (shamelessly stolen via a google image search)

See then it's not really green, it's black just with some green on it!
