Radiator Support and Rear Valance

Postby engb995 » Mon Sep 12, 2016 1:20 am

i would like to convert my 74 Hatchback to the earlier style front end. I have everything from the doors forward except the radiator support. Will it be possible to use the 74 Vega radiator support ? Also I will need a rear lower valance. Will the lower rear valance from the earlier years fit the 74 ?
Thanks

I think those that have done the swap will chime in , but they are using the support they have and redrilling some headlight stuff.Do a search on here and you should find a few disscusions on doing this swap.

The first generation Vega's have a 2 piece rear valance. I'm pretty sure it won't fit.

Front end swap information is posted in the FAQ: http://www.h-body.org/library/hbodyfaq/index.html

The rear quarters between 71-/73 and 74-77 were a bit different, but if you have some metal forming/welding skills, I am sure they can be modified either way to work with the different rear valances.
