my 15 minutes of fame

Postby waybad » Mon Sep 12, 2016 5:43 pm

at the lsfest this weekend in Beech Bend, I was the only ls Vega or H-body there,, everyone was so gracious with compliments it was almost
embarrassing   I raced in the Rumble index 12.00.. I made it down to 7 cars from 140+.. I was so excited to be racing again...
it's been 24 years since I had raced on the track.. Friday I started at 12.34,, after tuning i got it down to 11.94 @ 113.34 in the heat :D
I think I can get it down a few more tenths with more tuning and better air  I could not be more thankful for all of everyones help
with this build :th: Thank you so much!!

here is a cell phone video of my second pass Friday,, not good quality but it's all I have..

I forgot, here is a little article they did on the car,, scroll down about halfway.. it's day 2 of lsfest

I love your car, ever think of a little more gear? You have a 200r4, with 3.73s that would be an awesome combo.
YES I accept paypal donations...

yes, contemplating it,, that is what I had to start with,, not sure if I will do it or not,, the lower gear might cause it to pull out the upper rear mounts..
if I get faster than a 11.50 I think that is the cut off for a roll bar?.. the tires were moving on the rim about a 1" 1/2" every launch,, I had them aired up to 24lbs
Thanks for the compliments :th: :th:

Well congratulations on attending LS fest I am sure just being there with the car was enough to make you really happy but with some coverage and some good drag times that must have really been icing on the cake. Maybe next year you will not be the only one!

Congrats on the milestone and job well done
