Thanks all for the Props. Actually had a guy getting his checkbook out Friday nite at the cruise in. LOL, I wouldn't price it.
You know how it is. Its not a CAmaro or Chevelle. You don't see these little guys much. Drew a pretty good crowd.
Anyway, Thanks H body Peeps, Means a lot from this crowd.

B-pappy, the hood is orginal steel hood. Scoop is Corvette Stinger style from Unlimited Products. I have Highly reworked the scoop to make it a perfect fit, bolt on. Honestly, Astregt was the inspiration. His Black and Gold Astre is out standing. I can sure appreciate what it takes to do that Scoop.

Harry, I will be around for a bit. I havnt had a Corvair for 10 yrs, I still hit the Forums thou. lol

Out Standing!!! I followed your build and you were an inspiration with all the hard work and hours of frustration as well as satisfaction getting to the finish line. Great paint.

Looks great Darrell! and it's good to see another first gen Vega back on the road. Now it's time to drive the wheels off it before the snow starts flying :D

Cheers,

Went to my favorite event. Pumpkin Run Nationals. 3 day event. This is the 41st year for the event. This year was the 1st year they raised the entry years from 1970 and older, up to 1974 and older. This allowed me to take the Vega up. Great Show. Had over 2500 registered cars.
The Vega had a lot of attention. I am horse from talking to people about the car and building of it. lol.
Pleasantly surprised when I was called up for a Top 50 Award, out of 2500+, at the end of the day yesterday.

Nice job..congrats on the trophy.
Time to make one of those car info boards so you don't have to say the same thing over and over.
When i take the Vega to car shows I park it then instantly walk away.

Congrats, nice job!

I moved from northern Illinois, where my car has been seen for 20 years, down to the St. Louis area. It's been pretty popular wherever I've shown it, people don't see Vegas anymore.
