4.1 V-6 pictures

Postby lleelduo1 » Wed Sep 28, 2016 10:45 am

I found some photos while going through some stuff last week. This is the 4.1 V-6 four barrel I put in the 78 Monza wagon I had in 1982. I WISH I could find that car now and get that motor back!

That's a good looking engine, those 4.1's are tough to find, I have a short block I have never gotten around to building to replace the tires 3.8 in my 78 Sunbird Safari

Those are ballsy little engines.
I remember driving Caprices in the factory lot at work in '81. The little 4.1 worked a damn sight better than the 305.

It bolted right in and all the a/c and everything bolted right on. I used the air cleaner from a camaro to get hood clearence.

Larry, Very nice engine. Did you build it or was it a new engine when you put it in?

I built it, It was out of a boneyard LeSaber. The hardest thing I think, was coming up with a non mixture control solenoid carb, with the right linkage. My car had no computer of course. I dont remember what I used.
