'77 Spyder front seats done

Postby 75Monzta » Thu Oct 06, 2016 8:12 am

Traded building a 46RE dodge trans for upholstery work. Original seats were trashed since my nephew received the car but now are perfect. All new foam. He hand shaved it so he could make them mirror images of each other.

I picked the materials out of his swatches and he hand made them. He is very talented. I picked a little thicker fake leather/vinyl and that cloth and he hand formed the foam and even cleaned and painted the brackets and lubed the slides.

They look amazing. Mind if I ask how much that cost?

Thanks,

They averaged pretty close to the cost of the transmission build. All new foam, materials and time was just under $850 and my cost on the trans overhaul was $856 so we were pretty close. Plus, his brother did the trans r&r.

Awesome.
Nice-looking new seats really makes the car - especially a black factory interior in a Monza.
You know, we spend a lot of money on the rest of the car, but tend to come up short on the interior where we spend all of our time when driving it.
$$ well spent IMHO.
