I Know a 77 Starfire was the Buick V6 blue, which is slightly different than the GM blue on the chevy V8.

Here is a discussion I found. http://forums.aaca.org/topic/150124-cor ... -for-1975/

Weren't the odd-fire engines a different color than the later even fire? Blue and turquoise respectively?

According to the Team Buick Site, all 75-77 Engines V-8 & V-6 were Medium Metallic Blue, all 78 and later were standard GM Light Blue, No color chip shown for the later colors though. Some debate if the Metallic color was 75 only or 75-77 but as you are asking about only a 75 it should make no difference, I found this picture claiming to be an original 75 Skyhawk

But you can barly see the engine color.

Every car I have owned has been a nice shade of "Petroleum Black" and by the time the added tint was removed there wasn't any paint underneath! Harry
