Chambered exhaust alternatives

Postby ol55 » Tue Nov 01, 2016 11:02 am

I have 2 1/2" x 29" sidepipes coming off headers on my sbc powered Vega. I want to quiet it down some . I think my options are inserts, new mufflers and new exhaust. Looking for an easy, inexpensive solution. Ideas?

Thanks,

Thanks Smiley.
The headers are from Don Hardy. No muffler. Flange, long chamber, short pipe then turn out tip is the set up.
Sorry, Have not figured out how to add pictures from my phone.

With Don Hardy headers I would put inserts in the side pipes.

Thanks Smiley. That sounds like a good plan. Lots of choices. Any (cheap) recommendations?
